I worked with Griffen as an actor in one of his films and it was a very professional and enjoyable experience. We started the shoot in the fall with a few outside shots when an unexpected snowstorm hit overnight, so many shoots had to be redone to account for the weather. Griffen was a trooper and handled everything with grace. Actors not currently in scenes were able to go to a heated area while waiting for their parts, and he stayed out in the blistering cold getting every shot and finishing the film on the strict schedule. Personally, I could barely finish my 20 minutes in the cold but Griffen stayed out there for hours. He is nothing short of a professional, and is kind and understanding to anyone he works with. Working with Griffen on his film The People of Kings Town was a great opportunity to learn acting and working within a film. Griffen continually knew what he wanted out of each shot and planned many shots out in advance, while also having the flexibility to work on the fly. He was polite and respectful of people’s time and safety, and wanted to make sure we were all doing okay during the cold weather. His spontaneity allowed for creativity and a free flowing of ideas that made for a fun and collaborative development of his vision. I enjoyed working with him on the film and would be glad to work with him again given the opportunity.
